Lovely bustle patterns, not sure how easy to follow

I was really excited about getting this book. It is a wonderful reference for clothing and hair styles and accessories for the Gilded Age. I have not yet tried making one of the patterns, and I am a bit concerned with how understandable they are. I have enjoyed the book as inspiration, but I was drawn to the book because I wanted to make one of the dresses on the front cover, and I was unable to find that pattern inside. That's why I gave 4 stars, but I will have to try a pattern soon and see how it goes!
