This one is excellent
1 of 1 found this helpful When it comes to old fashioned waffles -- not Belgian waffles -- this iron is about all there is. This is our third one over about 25 years. The first one had fine spiral heating elements that glowed orange: it lasted about 20 years. The second one was a bummer: the horseshoe-shaped bar elements (like a cooktop stove) heated unevenly and it took twice as long to cook. Finally we got a new one like the second one, and it works GREAT!

Excellent - with a couple of amusing quirks
5 of 5 found this helpful I've used this for three months now. I'm a 70+ walker/hiker, not a workout person. The Charge keeps pretty accurate track of heartbeat and steps, the main things I'm interested in. The quirks come in number of floors climbed: when I climbed 1300 ft. vertical on a mountain, it showed only 5 or so floors (vertical elevation difference); when I drive a vibration-laden Model T Fort, it showed ca. 150 floors. In more regular activity, floors "climbed" vary by about 100 floors. Makes me feel like I can jump tall buildings :-
