You get what you pay for....
2 of 3 found this helpful This lamp performs very well. It is bright, and the large lens is a pleasure to use.
I'm just a bit disappointed by the quality. It is not very robust, it came with a nick in the top cover plate and a somewhat dirty swivel joint. The right hand bulb cover simply does not fit in its slot, so it remains halfway out, causing a light leak as well. If I try to force it into position I feel it will probably break something.
I'm not going to return it though - we all know a really good lamp of this type would cost well north of $100, so I'll keep my eyes open for a really nice one, while using this perfectly serviceable substitute in the interim. I'l chalk this up to "You get what you pay for".
