Logitech HD Webcam C310 720p Video Calling with Autofocus

good low cost webcam! easy setup - works with most software and apps

good webcam. setup is very simple. Works will all surveillance software I have tried it on! auto zoom on motion detection, auto zoom in and follow faces mode is cool. image quality is decent, could be better at longer distances, but within 8-12' it's very clear. Over 10-15' the image is somewhat grainy but still not terrible. Good camera for around the house, use as webcam or baby monitor. I mounted 2 of these on the outside of my house with plexiglass covers for surveillance and so far they've worked out great. We just went through about 2 weeks of 28-40 degree weather, including a snow/ice storm that left everything frozen for days and these cameras worked flawlessly even though they aren't actually designed for outdoor use... For an inexpensive camera they work quite well! They are wired though so they're kind of stuck within a small area around your computer, but if you're willing to buy a few 15-30' usb cables (and then run them) you can cover a large area.

The Isle of the Lost: A Descendants Novel (The Descendants)

Good book for 4th-7th graders... Entertaining, engaging content, story and characters.

So far we have enjoyed this book. This is the first of a series of 3 books (I believe). Most evenings I have one daughter who goes right to sleep and the other wants to stay up. Last night after 10-12 pages of reading, neither one wanted to go to sleep. And immediately upon picking them up from school today they asked if we could read more.. This is probably a book for 8-13 year old age range, but older children (girls) might enjoy it as well
