Bad Shielding

The cable looks nice and being made by Monster you would think it would be high quality. But, the sound quality is worse than a cheap cable. Also, no matter how far I place the phone from the speaker a bunch of interference noise comes through. I made sure the cable was no where near the power cord too, nothing I did helped. There has to be zero shielding on this thing.
