Great book for furniture enthusiasts
This was an unexpected pleasure! I first read it as a public library checkout and knew I wanted a copy for future reference. It's easy reading, full of interesting history, and illustrated with line drawings, which I happen to love. The sections on modern furniture were particularly useful as they contain manufacturers' names.

Beautiful, rich yellow
I couldn't imagine the color yellow being comparable to the other Le Creuset colors, but it is! I was prepared not to like it, I just wanted it to display on a shelf with the other rainbow colors -- red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet -- but I love it.

Wonderful find
While clearing out my deceased parents' house, I found this old, tattered book that my three sisters and I loved as children. I was thrilled to find the same, 1940s edition of this book, in what appears to be a very gently read version. The pages are in great condition, the cover artwork is brilliant, and the watercolor illustrations inside are vibrant.
