Comprehensive explanations
I had calculus decades ago and liked my book then. (Purcell) But I was impressed by this book too. It seems like they pack a ton of information in each section, and show many graphical representations of functions, as variables change, as a basis of explanation of what's happening in the equations. They graphics and figures are more on the colorful side, vs, my old somewhat monochromatic book of years past. I guess the best recommendation is that my first year calculus student son seems to be doing OK in the class, and I think a good book is part of it. I checked that the content was not compelling, not in any way as a knock on this book, but because it's an irrelevant point for a math book.

Effective for Buffalo Gnats
In the Northeast mountains, we have an issue in the spring and early summer with buffalo gnats, a small biting fly that sort of swarms around your upper body after a while. They laughed at the deet spray, but this stuff keeps them away. I would usually just apply a couple spritzes to a baseball cap, and be good for hours. Maybe a couple more on my arms if they were really dense. Not sure how well it works on mosquitoes but very pleased with how it repels those big gnats. Because each spritz is well atomized, it's easy to apply effectively without depleting the bottle quickly. A bottle lasts longer than I expected, but I have bought additional bottles.

Repeat buyer
This was my third or fourth purchase of this knife. This time I bought 2 more for Christmas gifts. I know from prior purchases it's a great little knife, and it's inexpensive enough to be very easy to buy on a whim. They make great "guy gifts" although one was for my sister. (She loved it.) I advised the recipients to make sure they kept the blade oiled to prevent rust as I opted for the "carbon" version instead of stainless for slightly better sharpness and edge retention.
