The TM-G707 is one of the best bargains ...

The TM-G707 is one of the best bargains in used VHF/UHF radios out there. The quality is excellent, performance is typical beautiful Kenwood. No, it's not side-by-side dual band. No, you cannot listen to two bands at once. No, you cannot do cross-band repeat. You can only do one band at a time. But I have found that I can only pay attention to one thing at a time, so this is perfect. And with memory channels, you can scan both bands.

Excellent traditional scanner (no trunking)

One of the best scanners. Does NOT do trunking systems but is excellent for traditional VHF UHF scanning. Very fast scan rate. They call it Hyperscan and it really is incredibly fast. 10 banks of 20 frequencies each. Easy to program and easy to lock out some channels.

Quiet, starts on first pull, excellent quality

The guy who wrote "just like the Honda only half the price" is exactly right. This generator runs quietly, starts on the first pull, the way it uses fuel I project it will take 18 hours for it to run out of gas, I ran a 100-watt radio transmitter and a laptop with it, and it never even changed rpms. Puts out nice clean AC. Hint: when you start it up, you put the switch to "Start" - the moment it catches and starts to run, quickly move the switch to "Run" otherwise it will die. I let it run for 20 seconds before I engage the eco switch. Filling with oil and then with gas is easy. No spillage. Very happy with this generator. And no, it's not half-price from the Honda, it is closer to one third of the price. Just amazing. I have been around and worked with the Honda Euro 2000 and this is exactly as good. I use 89 gas with it.
