Typical Mitutoyo Perfection !
I’m always impressed with the quality and functionality of Mitutoyo tools. Short or Long, it is “dead nuts” accurate. And lightweight easy to handle for one person, made with carbon fiber!

Impeccable Mitutoyo Quality
these are made so well they have no room for improvements
they are 100% of what you would ask for if your tool needs were made to request
by comparison with many other similar tools, Mitutoyo is an outstanding value!

Butter smooth, super precise repeatability. Luxurious quality and feel. Very nice , no clutch, no problem!
Without a ratchet or friction clutch I still get Japanese perfectionist readings. It has become my preferred mic for all day checks. I wrapped the barrel’s knurling with scotch tape, a sort of work around for the lack of slip mechanism, it is nonetheless “dead nuts” accurate every time, everywhere within its range. I only made a very small calibration adjustment, factory lubrication is perfect. Highly recommended
