This is a good vacuum but high-pile carpet is an issue.

The suction is good, even along the edges of the vacuum head, and the extra long power cord is appreciated. The hose and nozzle attachments are easy to use but the hose is a bit stiff and when using it the vacuum will often fall over unless it is propped against something. Also, this vacuum does not do well on high-pile carpet. The brush will not engage. To avoid simply using suction on my area carpet, I hold down the brush button while vacuuming it and force the brush to engage. I have a dog so getting the hair off the carpet is necessary and suction only is not enough. Otherwise a great vacuum.
