Wire is not durable

incremental light settings.
not real dimmer. 3 settings like a 3 way bulb. Lowest setting shuts off intermittently.

Good for basic home usage...and nothing else.
I bought two inexpensive boom stands and that's what I got. If for lite or non travel usage they're fine. Here's why.
1) the stand is light-weight and the legs are shorter than most. Unless set properly, the likelihood of it tipping are greater.
2) Surprise!..the boom will not unscrew from the base post, it is permanently mounted.you cannot use it as a stand-up.
3) The plastic tightening knobs won't last in constant usage. Usually metal on better stands.
If it sits in your studio, your probably fine. Otherwise, pay more money for a better unit.
