Perfectly Simple
Glad to be back using a basic thermostat. Back-light function is a great extra that we need in our location. This thermostat also runs without a battery using the "common" wire that existed in our setup. It doesn't have to have the common wire, it will run on just a battery if needed. I tried a NEST thermostat and it malfunctioned once causing my outside A/C compressor to continue running while the inside blower fan was not! No second chances.
UPDATE: July, 2019 this simple thermostat and my HVAC system are still running rock solid. I stand by my statement that something went wrong with the "smart" Nest thermostat not the remainder of my system.
