Packaging poor. Arrived with a small pin head dent on body. Plastic swarf in mouthpiece had to be cleaned/cut away. There again , what can you expect

Don't cut corners, spend on a better model
1 of 1 found this helpful I am a complete novice /beginner, so you will have to remember that in my assessment.
A few weeks ago I had a Stentor 2 Student to try out. I had actually bought it as a present for my Brother. It seemed ok after a little practice so I sent it off.
I convinced myself that I should get a violin too, but forgot the golden rule, you get what you pay for.....
Ive had to change the strings to get anything decent out of it.
The supplied rosin is a sticky messy stuff.
The bow is basic and nowhere near as good as the Stentor basic bow. So I'm now looking around for a replacement.

Razor sharp
Does exactly as required. If it stalls just make sure to wipe out soft woods as they can clog the fine teeth. It’s very light and flexible
