Good Value for the Price, But It's Light Duty Opener

It was a good value for the price. However it wasn't as "beefy" as the old one that I had. It worked well on the standard corks, but not the black corks that are used in some wine bottles. I bought a bottle of Apothic dark red wine and it had a black cork which is apparently softer than standard corks. I screwed the opener into the cork and when I swiveled the arms down the screw pulled out of the cork instead of pulling the cork out of the bottle. I then bought a new cork screw, from a local merhant, which was beefier and the corkscrew spirals were a little larger in diameter and spaced farther apart. This new opener easily pulled out the black cork.
