A good read

I have read most of the book and find Pepper Paire Davis' writing very engaging. She provided a lot of background for her personal story in addition to giving the reader a sense of what life was like during the Depression and WWII. She shared a lot of information about day-to-day life in the AAGPBL, as well as descriptions of the rules, statistics, and so forth. She had a sense of humor, but also felt deeply about those she cared about.
