It has a fixed aperture of 2.8, and has a "macro" feature, allowing you to focus closely on small objects. It has a "push/pull" zoom ring. The front lens element rotates during focusing. A great "older" lens that works very well on either APS-C and FX sensor cameras. This lens is no longer in production, so buy it now if you can find one.

Great Quality Glasses
These glasses are a favourite of ours. They have an old-world look, and a nice heft to them. You don't find glasses of this quality much any more. They lend a nice classy feel to our liquor caddy. We stored this set away for the future as they are becoming less available. Highly recommended.
