Don't get hung up on the brand name.
2 of 2 found this helpful Replaced my Phillips blue tooth speaker about the same size with this. The Sony has better bass, but you don't get the treble and the highs. The design points the speaker up unless you set it up on its side where it doesn't roll or use the included strap to hang it. If I didn't have the Phillips first to compare it to, I would think it's fine, but being a Sony....I expected a bit more.
