Great portable solution
Both Ethernet and USB hub works without problems. I did not test the Ethernet speed, but I copied a lot of videos from one external HDD to another one, and the speed was close to attaching the HDD directly (70-75 MBps).
I have Surface pro and the cable is too short, now it stands on the ethernet port. So if you want to use network cable with Surface - it will either hang or you will need something to put the hub on.

Really easy to use, but unfortunately with some bugs.
1 of 1 found this helpful I use Surface Pro 3 for software development and I bought the dock to connect 2 Full HD monitors, mouse, USB headphone amplifier and Ethernet.
I really love that I use single cable to connect all that plus charging.
The dock is detected fast when connected.
Also it seems to disconnect without glitches.
But there is a bug when Surface with Dock goes to sleep. On wake up it may fail to turn on displays or fail to use USB hub.
Bugs I think are more related to Surface and Windows rather then dock itself.
Also keep in mind that it has long cable from AC adapter to Dock, but shorter power and signal cables.
The dock and ac adapter are of the same size. So it looks nice stacked on the table.
