A good reel at a reasonable price
I got this reel in April and have fished with it quite a few times already. The largest fish so far is a 10 pound flathead which it handled easily with plenty of power and a nice smooth drag. It is on a 7` ugly stik catfish rod and has 30# Gudebrod dacron line. I use a two ounce no-roll and it casts smoothly and will go further than I really need it to go. I like to cast my rods for fun out in the back yard, and use this combo frequently because for me it`s a nice setup. The reel is getting smoother and smoother and I have not had a single backlash yet in hundreds of casts. With proper maintenance and a drop of oil here and there each trip, this reel should last the average guy a lifetime.
