Top print line not user friendly at all
Over the years, this is the third Monarch 1136 that I've purchased, so I figured everything would be the same. However, the top line has changed to alpha numeric only. For my business I needed only numeric and the dash. That isn't too huge of a deal. The thing that is most irritating is that instead of seeing the letter or number that you want to print in the sight box, there is a conversion chart. For example, if you see an A in the sight box upside down, you will print a T. This is the dumbest system I've ever seen. I expect what I see in the sight box is what I will print. Granted there is a conversion chart sticker on the top of the gun, but that is of little consolation for me since if I knew this ahead of time, I would have just bought the cheaper single line price gun. My fault for not checking everything carefully before ordering.
