I am "ok" with it.
Updating the database is a lot more involved than I expected especially compared to the Whistler CR90. It looks like a subscription is required after 90 days to keep it up to date! The Whistler CR90 is rated only a little behind the Passport 9500ix. It also reacted to 2 false alarms within the 1st 2 miles of testing after I updated the database.
