The Apprentice is Inspiring and Inviting
Jacques Pepin's memoir, The Apprentice, is a warm and enthralling story. He writes of his professional growth as a top level chef in some of the best restaurants in the world but that is actually secondary to his love of family and friends. He has a child like enthusiasm for new experiences and is eager to share. Just a few recipes are included, and those serve more to illustrate his stories than anything else. This is about his life, his well-rounded life, not just cooking.
