Irritating noises

Good anthology
Well selected and played piano music of Schubert (minus the Impromptus and a couple of other sonatas) in decent sound.

Excellent value
Very good performances overall, especially of the Polonaises, Mazurkas, Nocturnes, the B-flat minor sonata (two versions), and some miscellaneous pieces, notably the Barcarolle and Fantasy. The Ballades, Scherzi, and concertos are also well done. Only the preludes are substandard in a 1946 recording (Rubinstein didn't record the Etudes as a whole). Very good value for money.
