Angels: Knowing Their Purpose, Releasing Their Power by Capps, Charles
Mar 15, 2023
It is a paperback print and can be found useful to be close to the Bible for any Bible student.
This is a book with about 225 pages, good for a quick reference and information. It is a good book for a Bible Student to start with. Even though much of the information are in brief, it is very useful.
Jimmy Swaggart Bible Commentary - Revelation (2002 Hardcover)
Mar 15, 2023
The Jimmy Swaggart Commentary books are worth to be in the collection of the Bible Commentary sets.
First of all, the physical book itself is elegantly done. The material, including the binding and the pages are of high-quality materials and each book is relatively a heavy one, because of the good quality paper used. The print is large enough for elderly people to read without difficulty. For serious Bible Student, all the pages in the book have space for writing their own study notes, which is something special. Unfortunately, the design of the fonts and the printing is not consistent, so if you buy several books separately, it may not have a uniform look, but still, it is a good display set on the bookshelf. Rev. Jimmy Swaggart is a King James only person and all the verses, even though not specifically mentioned, are from the KJV. There are not many KJV Commentaries available today, unless we go to some old ones. I do not have all his Commentary books, but from the website, I could understand that the Commentaries are available on all the 66 books of the Bible, in a total of 38 volumes. The books are not marked with any volume numbers. The Commentaries are just not an elaboration of the meaning of the particular verse, but each verse topic is linked to the other texts of the Bible and also the modern-day Christianity and where the Churches are going astray from the Word of God. I believe some people would like the way it is presented, while some may not. If anybody is planning to purchase a few Commentaries by Jimmy Swaggart, I would suggest that one should first buy one Commentary book on the most favorite Bible book, compare, analyze the Commentary, and then decide whether to proceed further for additional purchase of the other books. For me, the layout of the Commentary is excellent, and I would really go for more of his other Commentary books.
