A Very Sweet Series
7 of 7 found this helpful I ordered this collection because I was in "Downton Abbey" withdrawal. Unfortunately, "Downton Abbey" ruins the initial response to just about any other period series; "Lark Rise" grows on you though. The cast is wonderful (you'll see some familiar faces if you're a fan of the BBC) and the scenery is gorgeous. The stories are entertaining and you want to continue watching to find out what happens next. I love the late 1800's costumes and it's interesting to take a peek at a working village the way things used to be. I would recommend the series to fans of period pieces,

I'm hooked!
2 of 2 found this helpful This series has everything I love in a period drama: great actors, compelling story line, wonderful costumes and sets and a beautiful location. I can't wait for the next season to air.
