Would not recommend it under any circumstances.
2 of 3 found this helpful Bought it believing this was a vanguard product, but it does not fully deliver the advertised features and even as a regular mouse it is too slow. The programmable function keys are difficult to reach and cumbersome, the programmable features are volatile and not feature rich and useable for all programs (useless for AutoCad). In addition, it is way too expensive.

An above average good quality 'All In One' CANON
1 of 1 found this helpful This printer is a sturdy five ink cartridge, excellent quality all in one printer. It is a wireless/wired/USB connectivity unit which has removable/replaceable printing heads, twin paper feeding (tray & through) and double sided printing capability. Included software has photo printing and management features.
On the positive side letter font print quality is excellent and paper loading is very easy as is multiple printing document and fax loading, Access to ink replacement is also a plus. At the time of this report, I have not tried scanner and photo printing but provided software should be above average for these functions. Set-up is very straightforward operation and all the bells and whistles you would expect from a unit of this quality all all present.
On the not so convenient features, I should mention it is a bit too bulky and wireless software installation in Apple platforms is not as straightforward as in PC counterparts. In addition, I would have liked a telephone headset and answering machine to make it a very handy and truly all-in-one wonder, like the Brother MFC-885CW unit which is substituting. Ink cost is somewhat less expensive and better managed than both the HP-Deskjet 9800 and Brother unit which I now posses. I would have liked a bigger set-up and photo management screen as well.
However, all above comments have to be weighted against a very affordable and inexpensive price tag which is a plus on a top-of-the line PIXMA unit like this one from Canon. All in all, if you are considering an all-in-one, whatever the price range, you will be very happy with this one. Also, good quality generic ink cartridges and refills (if you care to do the substitution) are readily available at a very low price.
