Charge port broke but found alternative charger!
4 of 4 found this helpful Pros: It's got what most other phones have. Call history can be divided unlike some phones. Alternate charge methods.
Cons: Volume and ring level not good in noisy areas. Bulkier than the similar 8900.
I bought this 8910 phone since my awesome 8900 went kaput(screen went blank) after 2 years of being the original owner. The bad thing with my 8910 was that I broke the charging port! And cricket wanted $60 for a replacement EVEN THOUGH I'd been paying the crooks $5 a month for 10 months for damage insurance! Audiovox may have claimed it was my fault. I found a local electronics repair place that actually sells a charger that connects through the data port! It cost me $25 and I was glad to have paid that since I'd already purchased ringtones for this phone. I tried to compare this new charger to others at the stores and even tried one from walmart but it didn't work. Overall, this is a good phone ONLY NOW that I've found an alternative charger. I haven't even put a case on it since I bought it and still the elements aren't strong enough for this handy little phone. A friend bought one off ebay for $9 with the same problem and bought the alternate charger and 7 months later is still pleased!

doesn't work on my asus chromebook
i have 2 non-cable (hard plastic) adapters and thought I'd try some with a flexible cable. Neither one works!

i have 2 non-cable (hard plastic) adapters and they work. i wanted to try one with a flexible cable but for some reason this one doesn't work.
