Model Railroading With John Allen

Great book, excellent condition
Used book but almost like new. Contains photos of Allen's wonderful and creative model railroading scenery and many hand-built freight cars from the 1950s. Every scale modeler should see these photos. If only I had the time and space to do my own!

Great for the price
Compact, elegant design; useful for my needs (photographing small items under daylight-balanced light). The biggest complaint I have is there were no instructions explaining how to open it. It took quite a bit of searching online to come up with a video that "kinda" explained it. Not sure why the backgrounds supplied don't come with a neutral gray, which would be more helpful than some of the others. Note that the kit folds completely, so the backdrops are NOT seamless, but have a fold in the middle.

Woodland Scenics Hob-E- Lube
A small drop of this lube on the gears of an old AHM locomotive and it went from stalling every few inches to running smoothly. The needle-like tip makes it easy to apply a small drop.
