Click ignitor wire melted in 5 minutes!!
I purchased this part to fix my mom's water heater. I installed it and everything was fixed. Immediately it smelt like something was burning and fishy. I didn't trust it so I opened the access door again and the click ignitor wire was melted! It was 9:40pm and I had to drive an hour home, so she ended up purchasing a new water heater as it was 12 years old and we didn't want to order the part again. Seller was fine and the part shipped right away. Didn't think to take a picture of it until the following day and the old water heater was already removed by the plumber. Long story short, this piece should be able to survive the temps inside the water heater for more than 5 minutes!
