Good Solution for the Sailboat

These work as advertised and provide a very nice alternative in lots of places where you'd otherwise use a hard shackle. The extra little bit of line sticking out enables easy opening even after being under big loads. Value for price is ok if you just need two or three of these. However, I suggest if you need more, buy a fid, a spool of dyneema, and tie them yourself. Plenty of instruction for doing so online.

Works like a charm

Arrived in less time than promised. Popped it in a 2012 VW Eos and it lit right up and thankfully worked without any VAG-COM (VCDS) programming. Note: Not sure if it matters, but we made sure it matched the H/W and S/W version exactly to the replaced unit. Stealership wanted over $600 for a new OEM unit installed -- this got us going for just over 1/10th of that.
