Nice little travel longwire antenna
If you are a traveler to strange and distant lands, and take a portable shortwave receiver that accepts an external antenna,this should go with you. Or if you have the urge to sit on your balcony at home and listen to Radio Cuba or VOA, this too is it's forte. I've rolled and unrolled it about 20 times, still works,
Its a nice little longwire, roll up antenna. Not made for years of use, but sturdy enough for a backpacker or traveler who wants to get a signal just out of reach of that telescopic antenna on your radio. Ici Paris, anyone?

Leatherstocking Tales meets Star Wars
3 of 5 found this helpful Joss Whedon <of Buffy and Angel TV fame> did a short run Fox TV series called Firefly. The series was well received, but Fox isn't much of a fiction channel unless you like their news reports, so the series was cancelled after one short season. But fan interest remained high and Whedon was able to muster support for a movie that both wrapped up some of the original TV story line and is very well able to stand on it's own. The original cast and premise were used for the movie, and the plot wasn't dumbed down for 12 year old adolescent boys like the later Star Wars movies.
Whedon works with the idea of a totally human <no aliens> frontier culture, and Captain Malcolm "Mal" Reynolds (Nathan Fillion) of the Firefly class transport "Serenity" plays a Gary Copperish war hero who has lost causes, a sort of overestimate of his own fighting skills, a humorous inability to tell the beautiful Morena Baccarin he wants her, and a moral conflict between right and the survival of the crew he feels responsible for. Excellent stunt work and actions scenes. From the movie review "Many of the film's action sequences revolve around Summer Glau's martial arts skills in her portrayal of River. Glau prepared for her role with Hong Kong stunt woman Ming Lu, as well as stunt coordinators Chad Stahelski and Hiro Koda, and as a resulted performed nearly all the stuntwork herself."
You don't need to have seen Firefly to enjoy this movie, but I had to turn the DVD sound up to get some of the low, almost mumbled, comments that explain whats happening, and use the reverse and slow speed button on the player several times because the editing used "flashes" to impart shock or sometimes assumed the viewer already understood what the item, view or scene portrayed.
Excellent bonus material and commentary. So view the section of full<not edited> scenes first in the bonus,listen to a little commentary to give you some background, and then enjoy the movie. My only disappointment is that there isn't a sequel.

Think of it as a good magnifying glass
Installed easily on my Windows 10 Pro system. Tested with the MS Windows camera app. Worked fine. No auto zoom with Windows Camera. Windows camera did not respond to the "take image" button, but touching the screen captured picture. Have not installed the included software. There is a clear plastic lens cover that snaps off. Don't loose it!
As others have said, the included stand is sort of hokey, plastic, and won't take a lot of abuse. It is designed for looking at coins and stamps, or jewelry, maybe hand held inspections of circuit boards or the bugs on your skin :-). LED lighting is very good for surface inspection. Included size comparator card works very well. Wish there were two of them.
It could be used as a nice student microscope with the purchase of a stage, and rack and pinion to move it up and down for focus. Good product for someone with a plastic maker printer. Lack of control in Windows Camera software of the LEDs may make it more difficult to get a transmission image through a microscope slide. Maybe this is addressed in included software.
Good purchase for me, for what I want to use it for.
