Lid as thin as a solo cup
Lid feels as thin as a solo cup. Right design, they just went using the cheapest methods and materials.

Ok, understand that you are looking at a piece of equipment from the lower end of the market. The ballast can sometimes fail to ignite the hps bulb. I would recommend planning trips to the garden area near lights on time so you can reset the ballast. But that aside, it's worth the money. The ballast really does run very cool. The intensity is a bit more modest than I would like, but when top of the line isn't a real option, this one does just fine. Switchable, MH or HPS. That's convenient. And for anyone who enjoys doing that little extra, giving their plants that perfect tweak for an Un-buh-lievable finish, the dimming switch might interest you. I would buy another. Of the lower end lights, I like this one the best.
