Made my Rock Island Feel so Much Better in My Hand!
This arched mainspring housing was a drop in part on my Rock Island 1911 FS. I didn't have to adjust anything and it functioned like the original part. The finish is a perfect match to the rest of the gun. The pistol points so much better with this installed. Previously, the barrel always pointed on a slant towards the ground when I raised it. Now the sights are right on target as soon as I point it. The gun shifts less in my hand under recoil as well. If you wish your Rock Island 1911 pointed higher or looked more like a WWII era 1911A1, then this part is a great option. I don't know why Rock Island isn't producing guns with these installed!
