Stimme e835 mic. nice looking, cheap alternative to the sennheiser e835
There is something wrong with the "write a review". I purchased a Stimme brand SM-e835, but the review headline says sennheiser SKM 300-835 G3. Actually there is a Sennheiser model e835 microphone. It just so happens that Stimme has a microphone with the same number and a similar looking mic. It is obviously meant as a "copy" of the sennheiser that costs about 3 times as much. The Stimme e835 is more muffled than the sennheiser since its listed specs are 60 to 12,000 Hz. The Sennheiser is listed as 40 to 16,000 Hz which is better even than the Shure SM58 which is 50 to 15,000 Hz. The Beta58 (Shure SM58 upgraded) has specs similar to the sennheiser. The Stimme microphone seems to have a higher output than the SM58, and might be more directional thus providing better feedback control, but I haven't used it enough to find out. I also don't know how rugged it is. The instructions with the mic. warns not to drop or abuse it, which sounds like it can't take a beating like the more expensive mics. It did have a switch, where the sennheiser comes either way, although you pay more for the model with the switch.

Hitachi hard drives for laptops a good buy.
I have found Hitachi hard drives to be very reliable. I have bought both new and used ones in the past and have never had a "dud". This doesn't mean they never fail, but I have never had a failure to date. I have always been happy with these drives. I have upgraded several laptops from smaller drives to larger Hitachi drives.
Powerwerks PW100T 100 Watt Personal PA System #3009 *

Powerwerks P.A. amplifier products
I currently have five speaker units by Powerwerks. They are well built and obviously well designed. I own the small 50 watt a/c powered unit, which I use with the similar battery operated unit. I use these with the powerwerks subwoofer, and together they sound like a system much bigger than they appear. The sub especially is amazing. using only the one sub sounds like I have two of them in the room! I also bought the 100T 100 watt unit, using it with the sub as a mono system, sounds great. I have now purchased an additional 100T so that I have matching tall units, they will be used with my one powerwerks sub. Really don't need another sub, but I may go for another one sometime. all units have two or three channels with bass and treble controls for each channel. The linking feature works just great if you want to string them all in mono, but I use them mostly in stereo, with my smaller Karaoke gigs. They really have enough power to satisfy most restraurants, and the bass from the sub is amazing! Better than hauling big cabinets around. The sub is quite compact but performs like one twice the size.
