You will laugh so hard it will hurt!
This movie, starring the late Dudley Moore, is a scream! I do not want to give away some of the funniest lines, but trust me, there are a ton! The majority of the movie takes place in an insane asylum. Dudley Moore checks in after some high stress melt downs at his work as an advertising executive, and is introduced to group therapy. In his session are people like George, who only says "hello" just with different inflection in his voice, and Manny, who is built like a linebacker, and insists that he is macho, even while he is knitting. He also meets his love interest, played by Daryl Hannah After some very truthful ads get printed that Dudley Moore's character made before he was committed things start to change. The public loves the honest ads, and his company is demanding more. He says no, but his fellow insane inmates cheer him on, and then get in on the crazy add business. Some of the ads they come up with are side-splittingly funny. My husband and I have both loved this movie since it first came out 18 years ago. We even say lines from the movie to each other occasionally, and crack each other up. Don't miss out on adding this one to your collection. You will never be sorry you did.

The Princess Bride is a crowd pleaser!
2 of 2 found this helpful I am 35 years old and first saw this film in the theatre when I was 15. Still to this day, when someone asks me what my favorite movie is I always answer The Princess Bride. It has Romance, Humor, Action, unexpected outcomes, giants, sword play, and it is all done by an all-star cast. Wallace Shawn as Vizzini is fantastic, Mandy Patinkin slips in (nearly unrecognizable now that we see him older and heavier 20 years later) as Inigo the dueling revenge- seeking Spaniard. Andre the Giant is a rhyming fool who anyone would dream of having as a best friend. This was Robin Wright's first film, and she plays the lovely princess role very well. Cary Elwes is superb as Wesley, and Chris Sarandon is The love to hate you/ warthog-faced bafoon prince Humperdink. Christopher Guest plays the straight man with 6 fingers, and Carol Kane and Billy Crystal provide one of the film's most memorable scenes as Miracle Max and his wife Valerie. There are too many great characters to include, but you will love the Priest, and the Albino too. Please, do yourself a huge favor and add this title to your collection. Then, watch it as often as you can!

My kids love this movie!!!!
I was spurred on to buy this by my memories of the record I used to listen to by the same name as a kid. While not all the songs are there, some are and the message is great. All 3 of my girls ages 15,7, and 2 loved this! They watched it 5 times in a row! It is short, and fun. You will find yourself singing the songs and having a smile on your face throughout the day.
