3 of 3 found this helpful What do you get when you throw four musically iconic legends into a studio? The Highwaymen. The first album by this experimental quartet, Highwayman offers such incredible cuts as the CD's existential title track, Highwayman, to the old standards like Big River and Against the Wind. Chips Moman provided the perfect production for men who do not need flashly slide-skills in order to make a song great.
You may not call yourself a fan of any or all of these giants until you own this album.

You'll Get What You Pay For
The RAZR has been a decent phone for me. After having one for a couple years I now see, looking back, that I was probably paying for looks. I had a v300 before I bought the RAZR and it was a far more useful phone, but it just wasn't as sexy so I thought I had to get another. I'm not disappointed, but I'm upgrading to a smartphone now that I see how much a cell phone can do for me besides look good on my ear. If you want to look Hollywood, but don't need much more than a phone with a good alarm clock and a bigger screen, then this phone is your huckleberry.
I have a black one. The representatives told me that there is no difference between the V3s of different color, but my wife has a first generation gray/silver RAZR, and she has better reception. The voices are also clearer on hers than on mine. Still, mine isn't that bad.
Expect to look good talking on it. Outside of that, it's not a world-changer.

1 of 1 found this helpful If you know him, this CD will not surprise you, it will confirm everything you know. If you don't, his work will change your life. I know that sounds dramatic, but I don't know of any other way to describe it.
The next statement is going to be big so prepare yourself: Chris Thile is clearly the greatest mandolinist to have played the instrument. I know there are a lot of puritans who will glow a shining red and begin to scream the names of icons like Monroe, Bush, Rowan, Lawson, Grisman, Skaggs, Marshall, et al. I promise I'm not trying to steal the glory that is so rightfully theirs, but you've got to give Thile a chance. Not only is he musical chameleon, but his ability to take you to another world, i.e. make you experience the true meaning of Kant's Sublime, will prove his work to be an absolute addiction.
Feel safe purchasing this and any of his other work, even the stuff he did when he was barely 13 (Leading Off, Stealing Second). Look for his new collaborations with Hillary Hahn, Edgar Meyer, and his new group of musical badasses - The Punch Brothers. He is not simply standing stagnate on the shoulders of giants, he is using what he has gained and adding what he brings to the table so that others may stand on his able shoulders.
He is the Mandolin's version of the violin's Niccolò Paganini.
