Fore Plane No. 6 - 60 X 3mm Blade Milled Sides, Brass Adjusting Screw And Blade

very badly manufactured

This plane is very badly manufactured. Every single part is defective. 1. the threaded rod that the depth adjustment nut is on, was tilted downwards, thus when trying to lower the blade, the yoke (Y adjuster) would simply disengage from the brass nut. 2. the frog was not trued. one side was longer than the other. 3. the pin that holds the yoke to the frog was crooked, the holes that were drilled into the frog were not vertical to it. 4. the cap iron when put parallel to the blade would protrude from the sides.... i couldn't get the blade to come down so i started by fixing #1, after that there was no way i could get the blade down straight, the left side would come out only, even with the lateral adjuster full to the left. that''s when i took it all apart and discovered the rest....sad story....waste of time & money
