Simple and functional

I'm using this to hold an old iPhone 4 (with an armored case) to my MTB handlebar stem for mapping purposes. It holds the iPhone securely without slipping, shifting, or rotating. Installing or removing it is fast and easy. The only obvious downside is having the 2 thin straps crossing the screen, but I knew this would be the case when I bought it. Easy to get on & off, plus very secure. Win-win.

Needs some refinement

I use this mounted to my hockey glove when coaching. First time I used it the metal whistle came off the strap 3x. The rubber cover on the whistle mouthpiece came of 1x. The distance between the pockets on the strap is too far to securely hold the tabs on the whistle. Also, the pockets are elastic material. I folded the strap over itself and sewed the fold to shorten the distance between the pockets. This helped, but the whistle still slipped out 2x at the next practice. I then zip-tied the metal whistle to the strap. This fixed the problem, but it means I will have to cut and replace the zip-tie if I need to take the whistle off the strap. I emailed Fox 40 and they claim no one else has had this issue, so it sounds like I got a dud. The whistle and strap are of good quality, but the whistle mounting method is flawed. The whistle tone is low, not shrill, which is good, some nice my players can discern my whistle from neighboring rinks.
