Buy it if you need it- it works
I really can't find anything wrong with this item. It is solid and easy to use. Get the first cut done and slabbing that log is a piece of cake. Be sure to buy a 42" bar for the 36" mill. About 6" of the tip is needed for the clamp so even if you adjust to a smaller bar on the same Granberg mill, you need that 6" of tip for the clamp or you will bind the sprocket and it won't work. Example- a 24" wide slab needs a 30"+ bar in the Granberg mill frame.

Avoid this item
The design is completely impractical. The handle should be a welded handle. The included handle can't stay in place. The stars which are to puncture the soil are way too dull to penetrate. the foot pedal is very awkward so that you have to stand on one foot and move the stars back and forth with the other foot while trying to hold two handles, one of which is wobbling all over the place.
Buy a Garden Weasel and see the difference.
