For snubbing the inrush of any coil up to 35 VA.
If you have an Allen Bradley 700 relay or any motor starter contactor (up to 35 VA) these snubbers really work to suppress the arc from the inrush of the coil.
I just tested 7 AB700 P type contactors with and without this snubber. Energizing the coil from typical IDEC 10 amp (resistive) ice cube relay contacts, you will be able to see a huge arc jumping as the IDEC relay contacts close to energize the AB700 coil (which is .193 Amps at 122 volts) if there is no snubber across the coil of the AB700.
With this snubber the arc becomes so infinitesimal that it is hard to see, even with a magnifying glass.

Rated for 27 amps. Load it up 1/4th of that and your contacts will shine eternally.
