Since 1982, Thayer Jewelers has sold only the finest heirloom quality jewelry, important colorless & natural fancy color diamonds, gem quality sapphires, rubies, emeralds, and alexandrites.
Thayer Jewelers was founded in 1982 by Jeremy Thayer as a direct importer of important gems from Sri Lanka, Burma, and Thailand. In 1985 he and Bruce Davidson opened Dianus Lanka LTD in Kalutara, Sri Lanka, a cutting factory with over 110 full-time cutters and polishers. He traveled to mining centers throughout the world acquiring rough gems for production cutting. The combination of the skills developed from learning to grade and value rough gems coupled with early years of study at the Gemological Institute of America and the Asian Institute of Gemological Science laid the foundation for a unique expertise that very few in the industry share. I had perfect feedback until you left negative on mine. The sunglasses were 70 year old vintage aviators and were in good shape for there age. Why didn't you just by new glasses?
