Heart Warming
1 of 1 found this helpful This particular production of Anne of Green Gables is by far, the best. It was done in 1985 with Colleen Dewhurst, Richard Farnsworth and Megan Follows as Anne. I fell in love with this in 1985 and have watched other versions that are certainly acceptable, but, this is my favorite. Glad I bought it for my 10 yo granddaughter so I can watch it again!

1950's flowery writing, but still compelling
The writing is from the 50's, so it's rather "flowery", but I believe that these encounters truly happened and that he was pressured into stating that it was all made up. His story is so detailed that I can't imagine he made it all up. But, that's up to the reader, isn't it.
