Solid piece of quality kit for burning Redbook CD's
Very solid piece of hardware. With a few simple tweaks to WMP, ( Slow burning speed, Allow gaps, ~ and , for the love of all things holy, UNTICK the "Apply Volume Leveling" box.. etc..) It is very smooth and quiet when burning and the results,
(using with a reference Emotiva ERC-4 CD Player) - are Stunning. This was new in box, made in 2003, and including shipping was about $50. No corners cut in making a very solid, dedicated CD burner. Recognized immediately by my win 10 computer, an Absolute value and underrated performer. I've read about people spending near $600 or more on a "Premium" Plextor from the late 90's . . and i'm not exactly sure why. I made a copy of Ernest Ansermet's Audiophile, 'Royal Ballet Gala' CD. After spending almost 3 hours listening and comparing, It was absolutely just as captivating and sonically dynamic and detailed as the original. If you are looking to put your music back on a format that compels you to Sit and Listen, this is a great buy. Hope this helps. Cheers!
