Ample power, a pain to recap, but worth it.
1 of 1 found this helpful I bought an SX-3700 to refurbish/recap for a friend.
Breaking down the amp to get at the boards is a pain, but well worth it.
Now recapped, the amp has a phenomenal tuner and is putting out its rated watts.
Now with LED inicators, it looks great.

Even at age 50 the C200 and P300 sound better than ever.
i recently purchased a P300, built about 1975, as well as a C200 from the late 1970s. Despite being over 40 years old. both units sound as warm and transparent as i remember them when they were new. these clients are so very quiet, with deep, tight bass and clear and present highs. i performed a recap of both units due to their age but it was not obligatory for Sonic reasons. i used mostly Nichicon high end caps especially for the P300. performing a recap on these units is tricky with many of the electrolytics being axial. nonetheless the effort is worth it as this makes the amps ready for another 40 years of Sonic perfection
