Excellent telephone system
1 of 1 found this helpful I've been using these VTech phones in my house for many years. They have phenomenal range -- I can walk nearly a block in any direction while talking. I've never experienced any interference, and the audio is very clear and easy to understand, even though I'm in my 70th year and my hearing is not what it was. I have twelve of these phones (on two base units) running now, and cheerfully recommend them to anyone. In the years I've had them, the failures have all been speakers and vibrators. When the speaker fails, you can still talk on the phone, but it no longer functions as a speakerphone, and since the speaker is also the ringer it won't ring. When the vibrator fails, the vibrate-on-ring function no longer works, but you can still talk on the phone. From twelve phones I've had four vibrator failures and five speaker failures in about nine years. All failures have been in the handsets; the base units seem never to fail. Since replacement handsets are easy to buy on eBay, I'm pretty pleased overall, and I continue to recommend these telephones.
