Great Harcourt Math 3rd Grade Practice Workbook
I was a third grade teacher, and this was the series we used at our school. It follows the correlating book and uses great charts, graphs, word problems, etc. Now I homeschool and use this workbook for my own children.

Great movie!
This movie is not a Hollywood blockbuster, but it doesn’t feel cheaply made. It has wonderful messages for teens including bullying, acceptance, not judging others who may want to change and leave their old ways behind to find God, drinking/partying, teen pregnancy and abortion. It addresses these without showing nudity or any other embarrassing moments that teens and parents watching the movie together may feel with other movies that focus on these topics. My daughter watched part of the movie at a friend’s house but was unable to finish it and asked if we could buy it. She’s almost 16 and really enjoyed it.

Great 3rd Grade Harcourt Science Textbook
2 of 2 found this helpful I bought this book to homeschool my kids this year. I was a third grade teacher as well, but I have never used this book in a classroom. I am really impressed that it covers various units (A: Plants/Animals; B: Plants and Animals Interact; C:Earth's Land; D: Cycles on Earth and in Space; E: Investigating Matter; F: Exploring Energy and Forces). There are great pictures, important vocabulary words that are in bold and highlighted, objectives of each lesson, experiments, colorful pictures, review questions, and how you link each lesson to other subjects. At the end of each chapter, there is a chapter review of approximately 20-30 questions that can be used as an assessment for homeschoolers. There is also an assessment guide that can be found that correlates with this textbook. The only negative comment that I can make is that the book is from 2002, so you may want to double-check some information such as the animals that are listed as extinct in the book. This can be used as another teaching strategy though to compare information from almost 10 years ago to today. How has it changed, or has it changed at all? This book seems very easy to follow and to make homeschool lessons.
