Pride and Privleged to Watch
Loved this series, I was so happy to see it on Blu-Ray HD aaannnndd Region-Free!! Little point in buying a thing you can't see unless you buy a Regionless player, and this is much cheaper than that, haha

They Do Their Job Better Than "Well"
1 of 1 found this helpful These Barbie movies are by no means film-changers of their eras. But they're sweet stories with good messages, and they try to have very simple but engaging storylines with nothing that could go over your head. They treat kids like kids, yes, but their focus is on making kids feel included and invigorated by imagination; they take the building blocks of this story to buy the product and make it into their own stories. They put a lot of effort into movies meant for their demographic audience, meant for little kids, and they don't try to go beyond that age group but they also tackle that age group better than they have a right to try to be. Even more than that these movies have a lot of heart and love put into by people who wanted to make a great product for kids. I wish that last part especially was done more in the film industry. I think that's why the kids who first watched these movies still remember these movies fondly and try to buy them on eBay. These movies were by no means great, but they had a lot of earnest heart put into them for kids media then. I think that's a universal thing though; if you put a lot of love into a project, even if the execution looks low-budget and feels like it could be made better, that people still smile at it fondly because they can see all the care you put into a project just for them. That sticks with kids, that sticks with them as they grow up, heck, that sticks with people in general. That stuck with me. I'm excited to share these movies with my own kids someday and hope it sticks with them too.
