Exact replacement part

This is the exact replacement part I needed in order to repair my Vita Mix VM103. It arrived on time and was carefully packaged and delivered. It included the necessary mounting hardware. Installation takes only a few minutes. In order to install this part, the Kitchen Aid base unit must be opened up. To do so, remove the four screws that are hidden under the rubber mat atop the base unit. Then carefully separate the top and bottom halves of the base unit. Use the Allen wrench to remove the speed control knob from the old potentiometer, revealing the mounting nut. Remove the nut with a 1.2" socket wrench or a pliers to release the old potentiometer. Install the new potentiometer and re-assemble the base unit and re-install the speed knob. Before operating the machine, make sure the drive shaft turns freely and isn't binding on the rubber mat.
