The Z sound card from SoundBlaster is a great card, To me it beats the AE-5 in software because it is much easier to use. SoundBlaster no longer supports the Z but the kit has everything you need, which includes the cd with the software. To me, you can't go wrong, but everyone has their own preference so go for it.
