Jazz for Upright Bass Fans
I was recently given a copy of Wood II and thought since I liked that one I would go ahead and get this one. Good very good piano and bass performances on this disk, and extremely well recorded. I purchased the original release on the A440 Music Group label. Definitely a good choice for system demos and jazz aficionados.
Ensemble consists of bass, piano, and drums. Couldn't be much simpler, but it works.
I particularly like the bass lines in cut 1 "The Saga of Harrison Crabfeathers" and there is an interesting interpretation of Lennon/McCartney's "Come Together" (cut 3). Bromberg's "Goodbye (for my father) has a bright, yet soulful sound, and some of the best piano sound I have heard on a cd.
The sound quality of this cd provides a pretty good hint of what cd format digital can do in the right hands.I haven't heard many that better it.

HP E3620 Dual Power Supply Utilitarian but good
It is a standard vintage HP dual power supply in good working order. It provides the functionality required for powering solid state and op-amp based amplifier circuitry which is why I purchased it.

Wallace and Grommet all in one place
1 of 1 found this helpful Anyone familiar with Wallace and Grommet know exactly what they are getting. This disk contains all 4 movies. The most recent two are widescreen, the earlier ones are 4x3 aspect ratio.
